Hi, I'm Genevieve!
I run Wildher Studios, a multifaceted creative business based in Austin, Texas with three branches: original art, creative events, and wilderness retreats.
Original Art
My art draws from my background in flameworking, printmaking, and my love of learning new experimental processes. I learned to blow glass when I was 15, and have been mostly self-taught over the last eight years. I was introduced to the world of printmaking in 2023, and have especially resonated with making woodblock relief prints and mixed media pieces that combine glass and print media.
Creative Events
Though I spend lots of solo time in the studio, I am undeniably extroverted. To me, time outdoors or in the studio is better when we're together.
Wildher Studios offers dynamic group facilitation, hands-on creative workshops, interactive meetups, and shop pop-ups—where participants can connect, create community, and explore their own creative flow.
Wilderness Retreats
So much of my creative process is inspired by extensive time in the Alaska and Colorado backcountry fly fishing, backpacking, and frolicking. I love city life in Austin, but I also deeply crave the perspective and growth that time in the backcountry gives me.
In the summer, Wildher Studios runs immersive backcountry experiences that center personal growth, group fun, creativity, and allow participants the chance to reconnect with themselves and nature.
G's Background
Simply put: I love chasing curiosity, pursuing play, and fostering community.
In 2024, I moved to Austin from Ithaca, NY where I graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Hotel Administration and Fine Arts.
I'm excited to be jumping straight into running a small business where I get to pursue art and provide experiences that encourage creativity, wellness, and meaningful connection to the arts and nature.
Cheers to more wholesome, imagination-fueled fun, and celebrating the wildness within!
xo,
Genevieve
